Ingredients
- ●Meatballs (see Playbook — beef/lamb/veal blend)
- ●1 jar marinara sauce
- ●4 sturdy hoagie rolls

- 2.Split hoagie rolls open and place on a sheet pan.
- 3.Pile meatballs and sauce into the rolls.
- 4.Top generously with shredded mozzarella and a sprinkle of parmesan if you want.
- 5.Broil open-faced for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6.Serve immediately — these are messy and that's the point.

The Story
“This uses the three-meat meatball recipe — beef, lamb, and veal. Simmer them in marinara until they're heated through and soaking up the sauce, then pile them onto a good hoagie roll. Top with shredded mozzarella and broil open-faced until the cheese is melted and bubbly. The roll needs to be sturdy enough to handle the sauce without falling apart — this is a messy sandwich and that's the point. Great way to use a batch of meatballs.”
