The Story
“Drumsticks are cheap, easy, and kids love them. The method is straightforward — season with the base five, roast them, then start glazing with homemade BBQ sauce in stages so the sauce builds up in layers and caramelizes. The staged brushing is the key — you get multiple layers of sauce that each get a little time in the oven to set and caramelize. Hit them under the broiler right at the end with one more coat of sauce for that final crispy, sticky glaze. You can swap the BBQ sauce for any sauce from the Playbook.”
